Switch the bike on, keep it close, and check that Bluetooth is on and allowed for Ringvolt (Settings › Privacy & Security › Bluetooth). If the official app is connected at the same time, close it: a bike usually accepts one connection. Ringvolt reconnects to your last bike by itself. Bluetooth control currently works with SUPER73 bikes (Comodule display); with other bikes, rides, the Watch and the service log work without a connection.

That’s the bike’s own behaviour. With “Always-on light” enabled (default), Ringvolt switches it back on within a few seconds after a mode change, a reconnection or whenever the bike reports it off.

Yes, if you allow location “Always”. With “While Using”, recording may pause when the app is closed. On Apple Watch, recording runs as a cycling workout.

Open the Health app › your profile › Apps › Ringvolt and allow “Workouts” and “Workout Routes”. Then check that saving to Health is on in Ringvolt’s settings.

From the bike’s odometer when it’s connected; otherwise from the kilometres of your recorded rides. Tap “I replaced it” to reset a part, or add an earlier replacement by hand. Expected life is the average of your own history (or an estimate until you have one).
